Summer camps and regional gatherings are great places to get kids of all ages thinking about global issues and ther inter-connectedness to other places and people! www.globalgang.org.uk: Christian Aid UK has a great fun-packed site full of activities and stories from kids from around the world.
www.wateraid.org.uk/site/learn_zone: Learn about the difficulties facing communities with a lack of clean water. Play a game where you help villages make decisions about their water supplies.

This has great free online resources for teaching human rights to children. It is very thorough, covering younger and older children. This can help you go further with the content supplied in the Kids 4 Kids kit in lesson 2. Print it out and add it to your resource library.
www.unicef.org: This is an excellent site for both children and teachers. Look especially at the “voices of youth”. Challenge yourself in the quizes on child labour, the girl child, HIV/AIDs, and polio. Teachers will also find very helpful “Child friendly” versions of United Nations documents to help your children understand what the governments have agreed to do for children. Teachers’ lesson resources are also available. Have a good look.
www.viva.org: Viva Network is a global movement of Christians passionately concerned for ‘children at risk’, committed to every child having the opportunity to become all that God intends. Rather than starting more children’s projects, Viva Network creates and sustains networks among people already working with ‘children at risk’, so that more children get better help.
www.ausaid.gov.au: Have a look at what the Australian government is doing with their international aid. There are good teacher resources available. Go to “Global Education”.
www.gmfc.org: Global Movement for Children. Information about the serious issues facing children that still need addressing worldwide. This is a movement of people and organisations who are passionate about addressing these issues. Log in, learn more, and sign up to add your voice.
